Seasonal menus, offer a wide variety of traditional dishes, belonging to Tuscany and the other Italian regions, made with genuine products, some bio, other gathered in our lands or bought by local producers, with huge attention to their origin and quality.
The meat of the butcher shop of San Quirico d’Orcia, the cheese of some local farmer and fruits, vegetables from the nearby Maremma, well represent our passion in bringing to the table only certified high quality products, fragrant and genuine.

The restaurant La Vecchia Posta is always open and welcomes its guests from lunch to dinner time. In the afternoon, it offers delicious snacks to the guests, relaxing at the pool or in the gardens, or to who is coming back from a tiring excursion and wants to refresh with some traditional food.
During the winter period, the restaurant offers its service in a refined and relaxing Salon inside the relais, whereas, during the better season, everyone can enjoy lunch outside, with hills’ view, surrounded by the relaxing atmosphere of the green gardens and the sound of nature.
In the summer nights enjoy the starry sky with the river Orcia undertone and some refined jazz music played live. Discover traditional dishes such as the Peposo, the Pappa al Pomodoro and the unforgettable Fiorentina a T-bone steak of Chianina beef.
To go with your lunches and dinnerswe propose you with local and prestigious wine selection. Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile of Montepulciano and Orcia DOC wines as well as other high quality wines coming from many Italian and French terroir.
Moreover, we offer a different Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil tasting at the beginning of each meal. Daily made fresh pasta from our Chef. In some of our recipes Saffron cultivated and produced in San Quirico d’Orcia and Montalcino. Sweet and deserts with honey from the Monte Amiata as well as jams and fruit marmelades locally made, some by our chef with the juicy fruits from our orchard.
